Description

The Bee Gees: Giants of Pop is the definitive biography of one of the most successful pop groups of all time. This book tells the story of the Gibb brothers, from their humble beginnings in Australia to their rise to international stardom.

The Bee Gees were formed in 1958 by brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The brothers grew up in a musical family, and they began singing and performing together at a young age. They moved to Australia in 1958, and they quickly became one of the most popular groups in the country. In 1967, they returned to England and signed with a major record label.

The Bee Gees’ first major hit was “New York Mining Disaster 1941,” which reached number one in the UK and Australia. The group continued to release hit songs throughout the 1970s, including “I Started a Joke,” “Jive Talkin’,” and “You Should Be Dancing.” In 1977, they wrote and performed the soundtrack to the film Saturday Night Fever, which became one of the best-selling albums of all time.

The Bee Gees continued to release hit songs throughout the 1980s, including “Woman in Love,” “How Deep Is Your Love,” and “One.” The group also wrote and performed the soundtrack to the film Grease, which became one of the most popular musicals of all time.

The Bee Gees were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. They have received numerous awards, including nine Grammy Awards and five Brit Awards. The group disbanded in 2003 following the death of Maurice Gibb. Barry and Robin Gibb continued to perform as a duo until Robin’s death in 2012.

The Bee Gees: Giants of Pop is the ultimate tribute to one of the most successful and influential pop groups of all time. This book is a must-read for any fan of the Bee Gees or of pop music in general.
